Goodbye Cardington

Actually written 7/15/2017 - Tomorrow we move onto the boat. This has been a long time coming. The house is boxed up and stored in the basement and we hand over the keys on Saturday. We thought it best to move on to the boat a few days prior to giving up the keys just in case we find that we absolutely can't live without something or have taken too much and need to store some additional items in the basement - a much more likely scenario.

The galley is all setup with dishes, pots and pans and spices and other staples. Tomorrow I will hit Heinens and next week we will do a Costco run before we head off for Buffalo.

This coming week we have a few boat chores to finish - loading the life raft, adding jerrycans to the life lines and few other more technical items. Bob has convinced me that they should not take long - if you know Bob you understand.

Since this is my first blog, I will keep it short. Hope to see you on July 23rd at the marina 1:00-5:00 PM.
